Last Friday's outfit.

For a long time, I didn't like stripes. Actually, I didn't like patterns of any kind, really. I guess that since I was overweight, I felt self-conscious about showcasing my body. But now, since I'm of the mind that you should wear what you want, I've taken to patterns, stripes and every color of the rainbow as if they were going out of style.

I have this dress in two colorways. If you find something that works, buy two of them. You do it with pants and tops, why not with dresses? And I think this dress works. Maybe the boldness of the colors/stripes doesn't translate well in camera, but I can promise you. This dress is very form-fitting and flattering. But it's not for wallflowers, which is why this is the first time I wear this colorway; I've had it in my closet for years!

Dress: Old Navy
Cardigan: Old Navy
Shoes: Old Navy

Can you tell that I like Old Navy? I have a problem...

Please note that on the left picture, Genghis is yanking my cardigan from off his cage. A lively chase ensued in which he dragged the cardigan all over my apartment. Fabulous!

Not really.

I usually like to belt the cardigan, but since it was just used for throwing on at work, I didn't. Plus, the dress had it's own belt and as soon as I got out of work, I went cardiganless. Except for this picture. Do excuse the grainy; I'm using my point and shoot for this. Though, I think you already knew that!
